Lynne was born in England, but has lived in Cape Town, South Africa since she was eighteen.
As well as her large and active family, her interests are books, reading and writing poems; music right across the spectrum from classical to heavy, and lyric writing: sport, particularly athletics, in which she was competetive in both track and field; animals, especially horses. She is actively involved in writers’ and poetry groups. Since the last farewell of her arabian mare, she has a German Shepherd , named Zara, and together they follow all the old familiar mountain and forest trails……
Her poems reflect moments of her life, the happy ones and the desperate ones. Poetry has been her solace and her joy, her way of expiation, and her way to remember the bittersweet intensity of moments past and present..
She has been published in New Contrast, a South African Literary magazine, and in the annual anthologies of Writers’ Crescent.
Recently her poems have appeared in A Poet's Call
